The prophecy of the Lord Jesus for our consideration and edification, written centuries prior to His earthly existence is
|Appearance of an ordinary man|
|Old Testament Prophecy|
|For he grew up before him like a young plant,|
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
|New Testament Fullfillment|
|who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,|
but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
