In the past few months I have noticed that there are rumblings – at least in my world – of some internet folks trying to make out the message of Paul to be different that that of Jesus.
Never mind the fact that Jesus was dealing with a nation in the last gasps of it’s life and His pleading for their repentance, and Paul’s focus on “making that tent bigger for them dirty Gentiles” (See Isaiah 54:2-3)
Why? I don’t know, and at this point I am not concerned with their motivation, since I will assume the worst, which may not be fair.
Nevertheless, as I was browsing my computer bible study files, I providentially tripped over the following information. I must have found this info years back, and will not take credit for the compiling of the verses, but for the life of me, I am not sure where I found this.
This is the ninth post addressing different topics from the New Testament that both Jesus and Paul taught on showing similarity in their teachings. My comments will be sparse, (unless they are not)
9. Both taught that a man can be justified prior to doing any righteous deeds
Jesus
Luke 18:13-14 — But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Luke 23:42-43 — And he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
John 5:24 — Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
John 6:40 — For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”
John 6:47 — Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me has eternal life.
Paul
Acts 13:39 — and by him everyone who believes is freed from everything from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.
Roman 3:26 — It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.
Romans 5:1 — Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Ephesians 2:8-9 — For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Titus 3:5-7 — he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Good to refresh ourselves about Paul. Last week I was reminded of Paul and still today talk to my friends about my conviction of The Church being at fault for accepting the ‘gods’ of men allowed in our lives.
We allowed ‘allah’ to be honored for the eight-year term of President Obama of whom was sworn in on the Book of Koran.
We still parade the goddess Diane around the world to start The Olympics. We walk under the doorway of Astarte when at Starbucks even holding her in our hands. We use nail salons with lucky fish symbols and Budda sitting at the checkout.
Confucius is taught in our schools. The list goes on all in the name ‘freedoms’ in America.
Judgement has been laid out via a plague that has closed schools and churches.
I remind us that judgement has been due a country that used Paul’s words against him.
The LORD put scales on Shauls eyes because he was fighting ‘resurrection’. He was murdering Jews all in the name of his belief in the School of Shimi (no resurrection after death). Yeshua Jesus corrected him that he should not go against the ‘goad’ of teacher Gamliel of whom Jesus sat agreeing with resurrection.
Shaul was in three days of darkness as Christ was at his death. After Shauls resurrection to a correct walk he was sent to the nations influenced by Julius Caesar who lifted up Alexander the Great, Zeus, Diana, Julius, Hercules etc.
These ‘gods’ didn’t rise up to live again as Yeshua Jesus did. Nor did they have anyone resurrected talk to them as Shaul did.
Paul’s missionary was to remove these gods by proving Yeshua was still alive.
The church didn’t pick up on Paul’s commission of getting rid of ‘lucky’ gods but instead set up Starbuck church coffee shops.
They used English Paul to cancel Torah and embrace The Age of Grace.
Grace has always existed as YHWH never changes.
Poor Paul…intentionally still being misunderstood as their ears do NOT want to hear. Nor do they want to repent of their father’s sins of misconstruing Paul.

Thanks for dropping by. I am unsure what the church should do about civil and business decisions to have mythological gods represent them.
What specifically should the church do in relation to these gods? Never shop at starbucks etc?
